TCA FILM SOCIETY

 

1.The name of the Society shall be TCA Film Society. It will function as a wing of The Creative Arts (Academy).

3. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

To promote the appreciation and understanding of film and allied arts among a wide section of the society by exhibiting and presenting representative international works, disseminating information about them and encouraging discussions.

b) To encourage and facilitate research in cinema and relationships with other forms of creative expressions.

c) To assist, co-operate and collaborate in production and distribution and exhibition of films of social, artistic and aesthetic merit.

d) To establish and maintain relationships with national and international bodies with similar objectives.

e) To encourage and facilitate the spread of the culture of moving images, including allied arts like theatre, visual arts, music etc.

f) To publish and contribute in all possible ways towards the publication of relevant texts, monographs, brochures, catalogues, papers, periodicals, albums etc. for the promotion of
films and allied arts.

g) To establish and maintain a fully equipped resource centre and library of films and related tools relevant to the study of films and allied arts

h) To enrol individuals as its members as per accepted rules and forge affiliations with like-minded organisations.

i) To arrange, organise and participate in seminars, workshops, lectures, debates etc. relevant to the overall aims and objectives.

j) To carry out all such activities and programmes as may be deemed incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above-mentioned objectives.
