The Music department, under the mentorship of acclaimed maestro Pt. Tanmoy Bose. and his organisation Tabla.Inc., holds a space for young artists to explore the fundamentals of music and experiment with beats, melody and harmony through interactive sessions.
Typically, the department offers a range of courses in music theory, composition, music history, music technology, music performance, and related topics.
Music classes provide students with the opportunity to develop a variety of skills such as discipline, creativity, focus and teamwork. Music also offers an outlet for self-expression and emotional release.
Faculty
Swastika Mukherjee is trained in Indian classical music, under the guidance of Shri Brajeswar Mukherjee of Shrutinandan. She is certified with Vocal Performance Grade Exam from Rock School Music, UK. She has performed in various musical shows in India and abroad. Her songs are available on different digital platforms like Itunes, Spotify etc.

Piu Mukherjee is a notable artist of Khyal, Thumri, Dadra and Tappa in All India Radio, Kolkata. She is an ardent disciple of great vidushi Girija Devi.She has given outstanding performances in BPACON Music Festival, USA ; Biswa Banga Sangeet Sanmelan ; Sangeet Piyasi ; Pt. Ravi Kichlu Foundation ; Shankhri Begum Memorial Trust and many more prestigious concerts all over India and abroad.

Pandit Tanmoy Bose is one of the foremost musicians in contemporary world music and percussion. Having received his early tutelage from Pt. Kanai Dutta he became the Gandabandh Shagird of the noted torchbearer of the Farukkabad gharana – Pandit Shankar Ghosh. He has been an accompanying percussionist with many leading musicians like Pandit Ravi Shankar, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Dr. Lakshminarayana Subramaniam, Smt Kavita Krishnamurthy and others.

As a composer and a guitar player, he has been constantly striving to break boundaries in music and establish his own sound, throughout the 20 years so far of his career.

Gaurab Chatterjee (Gaboo) is a Music Composer / Drummer / Percussionist from Kolkata,India. He started his career as a musician at an early age of 12 under the tutelage of his father Late Gautam Chattopadhyay.
