Dramebaazi – International Arts Festival for the Young – curated by The Creative Arts Academy, Kolkata is back after 4 years!
Conceived in 2018 as a children’s theatre carnival, the festival was created to immerse young people into the arts – not just as audiences, but as active participants, creators, and collaborators.

Over the years, Dramebaazi has evolved into a multi-day platform that brings together students, artists, educators, cultural organisations, and practitioners from across disciplines and geographies. Through performances, workshops, labs, and conversations, the festival introduces young people to diverse artistic practices while building a strong sense of creative community.

At its core, Dramebaazi aims to position the arts as a way of life — encouraging self-expression, critical thinking, and collaboration. It advocates for a deeper integration of the arts within education, while also highlighting the arts as a meaningful and viable career pathway. The festival creates space for young individuals to imagine themselves as artists, thinkers, curators, and cultural leaders of the future, while also fostering dialogue between students, parents, and educators.

This edition focuses on empowering the next generation of artists by creating spaces that nurture their voices, encourage experimentation across forms, enable bold expression, and inspire transformation — both personal and collective.

Dramebaazi continues to build a growing, global network of young creatives and collaborators, extending its impact beyond the festival into an ongoing, evolving arts community.
